What is MeOut Summit?
MeOut Summit 2026 is the flagship CEE Startup & Innovation Summit, bringing together founders, VCs, corporate innovators, and policymakers from Central and Eastern Europe. The first edition takes place November 25–26, 2026, at Akvárium Budapest.

Is MeOut Summit connected to the Global Startup Awards?
Yes. Global Startup Awards is part of MeOut, and MeOut Summit hosts the Central European Startup Awards Grand Finale, bringing together founders, VCs, and ecosystem builders from 13 CEE nations as part of GSA's global network spanning 154 countries.
Can MeOut Summit provide an official invitation letter for a visa application?
Yes. International participants who require a visa to travel to Hungary can request an official invitation letter after purchasing a valid MeOut Summit ticket.
Can the invitation letter be issued after purchasing the €80 Startup / Ecosystem-builder ticket?
Yes.
Is there any additional fee for the invitation letter?
No, there is no additional fee.
What documents are required?
We usually need the participant’s full name as shown in the passport, date of birth, nationality, passport number, passport issue and expiry dates, country of residence, contact details, proof of ticket purchase, and a copy of the passport identification page.
Can the invitation letter be used for a Hungarian Schengen visa application?
Yes, it can be used as supporting documentation for the visa application. However, the invitation letter does not guarantee visa approval, as the final decision is made by the relevant Hungarian embassy or consulate.

What is BizHack, and is it part of the Summit?
BizHack is an AI hackathon running November 24–26, 2026, in Budapest, focused on helping small and medium businesses adopt AI tools for marketing challenges. It runs alongside the Summit but has its own separate application and registration process.

Is there a deadline to register?
There’s no deadline for registration.
What is the cancellation/refund policy?
Tickets are non-refundable.
Are there discounts available?
From time to time we release promotional discounts, so keep an eye on our social media channels for those.
Where is the event held?
Akvárium Budapest, located centrally at Erzsébet tér, right by Deák Ferenc tér metro station.
How do I get there?
The venue is reachable by metro (lines M1, M2, M3 all connect at Deák Ferenc tér), tram, or on foot from the city center. If you want to approach the venue by car, you can find parking spots in the surrounding area or at the parking garage under the venue.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes, with some specific arrangements for wheelchair users, including a dedicated companion ticket and designated seating areas. Full details are available on the venue's website: akvariumklub.hu.

Is there a networking or matchmaking tool for attendees?
Yes, attendees will have access to a matchmaking platform to arrange meetings ahead of and during the event.
Do I need a visa to attend?
Hungary is part of the Schengen Area. If you're an EU/Schengen citizen, no visa is needed. If you're coming from outside the Schengen Area, you may need to apply for a Schengen visa in advance, depending on your nationality. What's the weather like in Budapest in late November?
Expect cold weather, typically 0–8°C (32–46°F), with a chance of rain. Warm layers and a coat are recommended.
What should I bring?
• Comfortable shoes (you'll be walking and networking a lot) • A warm layer or coat for the season • Business cards • A universal power adapter (Hungary uses the European standard plug, 230V) • Any materials you'd like for networking/matchmaking meetings
What currency is used, and can I pay by card?
Hungary uses the Hungarian Forint (HUF). Card payments (including contactless) are widely accepted across Budapest, including taxis and most small vendors.
How do I get around the city?
Public transport (metro, tram, bus) is efficient and affordable; tickets can be bought via the BudapestGO app. Bolt (ride-hailing) is also widely used.
Near the venue (Deák Ferenc tér / Erzsébet tér area)
• Great coffee, lunch, and after-hours spots within a few minutes' walk of Akvárium — good for a quick break between sessions • Erzsébet tér itself has a lively square feel, good for informal catch-ups
If you only have one evening
• Chain Bridge + a walk up to Fisherman's Bastion at sunset for the classic Budapest skyline view • Dinner in the Castle District or along the Danube promenade • A ruin bar (Szimpla Kert is the best-known) for a relaxed, informal way to keep networking after hours
Landmarks worth a couple of hours
• Hungarian Parliament Building (guided tours available, book ahead) • Fisherman's Bastion & Matthias Church, Buda Castle • St. Stephen's Basilica • Heroes' Square (Hősök tere) and City Park (Városliget) — also home to Vajdahunyad Castle • Museums: Hungarian National Museum, Museum of Fine Arts (on Heroes' Square), House of Music Hungary — good options if attendees want an indoor cultural stop
A genuinely Budapest experience
Széchenyi or Gellért thermal baths for a half-day or an evening well spent, especially after a long conference day
